For Exhibitors

What is the deadline to apply?

Applications close on 15 July 2026, although the call may close earlier if all spaces are filled due to high demand.

Who can apply for the GEAF?

Active individual artists and Galleries.

What does participation include?

Exhibitors receive:

  • An allocated booth or floor space

  • Wall space for display where applicable

  • Standard exhibition lighting

  • Exhibitor name signage

  • A full-page feature in the official catalogue

  • Secure on-site storage for personal items and packing materials

  • Listing on the fair’s digital platforms

  • On-site support during setup and throughout the fair

  • Eligibility for the Henry Auburn Award (open to all in-person and Digital Art Fair participants)

What are the booth details?

Booths vary in size and configuration but generally provide:

  • A clearly defined exhibition area

  • Neutral walling suitable for artwork

  • Standard lighting

  • Power access in most areas
    Final floor plans are provided following acceptance.

Can I bring my own table or chairs?

Yes. Exhibitors may bring their own furniture provided it fits entirely within their allocated space and does not obstruct aisles or neighbouring exhibitors.

Is there storage available?

Yes. A secure storage area is available for exhibitors to store personal belongings, packaging materials, and spare items.

How can I hang my artworks?

Our panels are designed to accommodate a variety of installation methods. You may securely mount your artwork using screws, nails, or approved adhesive fixtures directly on the panel surface.

What is the Digital Art Fair section?

A dedicated area for artists working with digital media, including digital painting, illustration, video, animation, interactive work, and technology-based art.
Digital exhibitors:

  • Receive the same full-page catalogue feature

  • Have their work displayed on screens or digital setups depending on their needs

  • Are fully eligible for the Henry Auburn Award

When is the setup and takedown?

  • Setup: Friday, 9:00–14:00

  • Takedown: Saturday, from 18:00
    All exhibitors must adhere to these times.

Can I leave my artworks in the venue after the fair?

No. It is not permitted to leave artworks in the venue after the event.
The organisers and Greyfriars Kirk cannot take responsibility for any loss, damage, or theft of items left behind.

Can I ship my artworks directly to the venue?

No. Shipments cannot be sent directly to Greyfriars Kirk.
Exhibitors are encouraged to ship their works to their accommodation, hotel, or a trusted address in Edinburgh.

How does the selection process work?

Applications are reviewed for artistic quality, originality, consistency, and professionalism while ensuring a balanced and diverse overall exhibition.
Selection is based on artistic quality, coherence, and suitability for the Fair. Successful applicants will receive confirmation and payment instructions.

Who is eligible to receive the Henry Raeburn Art Award?

The award is reserved exclusively for artists who are participating in the Feryfriars Edinburgh Art Fair.

What payment methods are accepted?

You may pay using:

  • PayPal

  • Bank transfer

  • Credit or debit card

Can I pay in installments?

Yes. Payments can be made in two installments of 50% each.
All payments must be completed by 15 July 2026.

How do I apply?

What is the Greyfriars Edinburgh Art Fair?

A vibrant annual art fair presenting contemporary and modern works from local and international artists. The fair encourages accessible art collecting and celebrates a wide range of creative practices.

Where does the fair take place?

At Greyfriars Kirk in Edinburgh’s historic Old Town.

When is the 2026 edition?

The fair takes place on 23 & 24 October 2026.

Is there an entrance fee?

No. Admission is free for all visitors.

Can visitors buy artworks?

Yes. Exhibitors manage their own sales, offering a variety of works across multiple price points.

What types of art will be on display?

You can expect painting, sculpture, photography, printmaking, ceramics, mixed media, installation art, and digital works.

Is the fair suitable for families?

Yes. Visitors of all ages are welcome.

Is the venue accessible?

Greyfriars Kirk aims to accommodate visitors with accessibility requirements. If you need specific support, you can contact the organisers in advance.

Will photos and videos be taken during the fair?

Yes. A professional photographer and videographer will be documenting the event throughout both days.
