The Open Category of the Henry Raeburn Prize, presented within the framework of the Greyfriars Edinburgh Art Fair (GEAF), is open to both participating exhibitors and non-exhibiting artists. This category reflects GEAF’s commitment to fostering artistic excellence while expanding critical and professional discourse across contemporary artistic practices.
Conceived as a platform for recognition and visibility, the prize seeks to encourage dialogue between artists, collectors, curators, critics, journalists, and the wider cultural community, situating artistic practice within a broader international context.
The award recipient will be announced on Saturday, 24 October 2026, during the official Henry Raeburn Prize Awards Ceremony, held at Greyfriars Kirk as part of the Greyfriars Edinburgh Art Fair.
